Shihan Mark McFadden
Shihan Mark McFadden is a 5th Dan in Kyokushin Karate and 5th Dan in Kobudo making him a highly accomplished and respected martial artist.
Shihan Mark began his Karate journey in 1980 in Wollongong under Sensei George Halmay.
Mark participated in local, state and National Kyokushin Full Contact tournaments. Back in the 80's when it was just one organasation and tournaments could run over a couple of days Shihan Mark often placed in all levels.
Shihan Mark McFadden graded to 1st Dan by Hanshi Howard Lipman in 2000 and was now running the dojo at the Fraternity Club in Wollongong.
Shihan Marks strong commitment saw him awarded 2nd Dan by Hanshi Howard Lipman.
Shihan Mark moved back to his home town of Lismore and in 2006 opened a dojo and then a second dojo in Ballina that he ran with Shihan Jon Ellis.
ShihanMark was graded to 3rd Dan by Hanshi Howard Lipman in 2013.
Mark continues to travel to expand his martials knowledge and to teach at seminars held by different styles and organisations.
Shihan Mark McFadden was awarder 4th Dan in 2017 by Hanshi Howard Lipman.
Shihan Mark has made many training trips to Okinawa and mainland Japan which resulted in being awarded 5th Dan in Kobudo by Hokama Sensei in 2023 and 5th Dan in Kyokushin Karate in 2024 by Hanshi Howard Lipman.
Shihan Mark's dedication and comittment to the martial arts is well respected and continues to be a sort after instructor at seminars.
